The computational capability of the human brain is thousands of times greater than that of even the most up to date computers available today. Many of the ongoing investigation efforts in Artificial Intelligence at Qualia Labs require computation capability approaching that of a human mind, which is well beyond the scope of a reasonable hardware installation in our facility, or in any single facility.
Qualia devised the QMulus platform with the vision that a cloud computer would be the best plan of attack to continue pushing the envelope of AI. The name QMulus combines Qualia and Cumulus, which is a cloud type that is known to precede thunderous transformations of weather.
QMulus works by allowing Qualia Labs to safely distribute parts of an AI problem to many far-flung computers. Each computer works on its portion of the problem in spare time when the computer's users are not demanding its full capabilities. QMulus runs as a screensaver or alternatively as a background process.
You too can join in the AI revolution by downloading and running QMulus on computers that you use. QMulus is a safe and light application that installs quickly and with very little effort. After that, Qualia takes over and operates QMulus remotely without ever disrupting your use of the computer. When the QMulus screensaver engages, you will have a chance to see some entertaining information and graphics about what your computer is doing, and what it has contributed to the overall QMulus effort.
